Anna Stepura’s (Co-Founder & CEO of Adlyse) small win this week was finding a founding team member who just got it.
Not because they had every answer on day one. Because once they understood the vision, things started moving fast. Work that had been sitting with the founders started getting picked up and pushed forward without needing to be constantly directed.
That sparked a bigger conversation about hiring for agency.
One of the hardest things to figure out in an interview is whether someone will actually take ownership once they’re in the seat. You can ask about it. You can talk about past experiences. But sometimes, you don’t really know until they’re onboarded and you see how they operate.
The takeaway: As a founder, your job isn’t to keep doing every job better. It’s to find people who can take jobs off your plate and run with them.
